Deep Blue Success!

Recently a friend from Louisiana was here in La Grange, WY for a visit.  She has a son who is handicapped and has seizures.  Until he was 7 he was able to walk and talk and was learning other different things, but then the Drs put him on high dosages of medication......

Whenever the atmospheric pressure changes, Samuel gets really bad headaches and often has seizures.  I had given Mary a sample of Deep Blue to try on her shoulder for pain. One night after Samuel had been up bouncing (which he does not do!) on the bed in pain and seeing his arm literally drawing up in pain. she decided to use the Deep Blue on him and see what would happen. 

She rubbed the oil on his head, neck, and down his arm.  In less than 5 minutes, his arm had straightened back out, and he was asleep.  She was amazed at the results!!

The next night he was awake and in pain again so she rubbed him down and again in less than 5 minutes he was asleep!  She decided right then that she wanted to buy a whole bottle :)

3 days of Thyme

I was hosting a doTERRA open house this past weekend and met a young lady named Stacy.  She is into all things natural and was very interested in our products.  She has eczema and was telling me that she wants to sign up and find out what oils will help her.

I had a sample of Thyme there with me and so I gave it to her and told her how to use it.  She was so excited to go home and try it.

Last night I was in the grocery store with my husband and she came in.  When she saw me she had to tell her story! 

She said, "I had found a new spot of eczema starting on my neck.  When I got home I used the sample you gave me.  In three days the spot was completely gone!  I love this stuff!"

I am so glad that I was able to help Stacy!  It's great to have a product that really works and that others find amazing :)

Purify...

Purify is a great essential oil blend!  We've been using it to clean house, take away mold and mildew, keep away bugs and rodents (yes, it really works for mice!!), and now I just heard of something else it does!

I was talking with our pastor and his wife on Sunday evening, and they were talking about their "oil stories."  Jon said that just last week he was working outside and got stung by a wasp.  He said it was very painful.  He thought about the Purify that they've been using a lot of in cleaning their basement and figured it wouldn't hurt to use a drop.

In less than 30 seconds after he put the drop of Purify on his hand, he said the pain was gone!  The swelling went down and the redness went down.  His wife came home about an hour later and he was telling her about it.  She asked where he had gotten stung, and he looked at his hands, and could find no trace of it anywhere!

They said that they will be using this for whatever bites they get from now on :)

Benefits of Melaleuca (Tea Tree Oil)

This week my patience has been sorely tried! I HATE being sick!  I woke up last Friday with an itchy throat so took some Oregano (in a capsule cause that stuff BURNS under your tongue), and did my Breathe, Lime, and Rosemary routine.  (I put a layer of each on my nose and sinus areas.) 

By Friday night, my throat was really hurting and I was coughing like crazy!  I used every oil I could think of and it only kept getting worse.  (I'm thinking detox here)  By Saturday morning, I couldn't swallow without tons of pain, so I knew that it was my tonsillitis/strep throat issue coming back.  (I usually get it every year or two around this time for some reason.) 

Anyways....looked up Tonsillitis in my trusty Modern Essentials book, and Melaleuca is the recommended oil.  I rubbed a couple drops into my throat and within minutes I could swallow almost pain free!!! 

I kept taking Oregano (it's a natural anti-biotic) and using the other oils.  Soon found out that although Breathe, Lime, and Rosemary did help some with drainage, it did not do for me what Peppermint and Lemon did.  I boiled water and poured it into a bowl and added Peppermint oil.  The steam did wonders for me!  I drank the lemon in water and it helped soothe my throat, while at the same time breaking up all the junk in my chest.

The infection moved to my right eye, so I used Melaleuca underneath the eyes (on the bone) and it's almost gone!  In ONE DAY!!  I love this stuff!  I love not having to pay the Dr. to tell me what I already know is wrong with me and then I love not having to take unnatural products to help me get over the sickness!

On Guard is AMAZING!

So, we've been wondering why our pastor and his family have been sick with allergy/sinus-like symptoms so much lately and we finally found the problem!  You guessed it!  MOLD!!  I can't stand the stuff!!

Well, I took my trusty diffuser along with On Guard, Purify, and Breathe to Sarah (my pastor's wife) and told her to use them liberally.   (They had done several mold tests in the downstairs where they live and we had found it growing inside walls, under carpet, and in the bathroom area).  They started using those oils on Tuesday of last week.

The diffuser was going non-stop with the main oil being On Guard (Sarah used the Breathe for the topical application and Purify with Lemon and Vinegar for cleaning).   We moved them out of the downstairs on Wed.  So we were able to take out the carpets.  The insurance man came on Tuesday of this week and started tearing into walls and doing his mold tests.

What an amazing find!  Although the mold is growing in some of the walls and the floors, the air was CLEAN of mold!  The ins. man placed the tests directly by the mold growing on several of the walls, but the tests came back negative!

He asked what Sarah had been doing to clear the air of the toxins, and she told him about the diffuser and On Guard :)  He said his wife would love it but it sounded like weirdness to him :)  I'm loving that once again, On Guard has proven to be so effective!

Laundry Soap Recipe

Homemade Laundry Soap

1/3 bar Fels Naptha

½ cup washing soda
½ cup borax powder

(I used Serenity EO from doTerra.  Only about 20 drops and my laundry smells delicious!)

~You will also need a small bucket, about 2 gallon size~

Grate the soap and put it in a sauce pan.  Add
 6 cups water and heat it until the soap melts.  Add the washing soda
and the borax and stir until it is dissolved.  Remove from heat.
Pour 4 cups hot water into the bucket.   Now add your soap mixture and
stir. Now add 1 gallon plus 6 cups of water and stir.

Finally, add your favorite essential oil, (would probably add 30-60
drops of oil. you may choose more or less) Some favorites are
Lemon, Citrus Bliss and Purify.  You can obviously use whatever
scent you want.  The EO will make the soap a more effective
cleanser, make the soap more effective at getting rid of bacteria
and microbes, and will of coarse make your laundry smell incredible.

Let the soap sit for about 24 hours and it will gel.  You use ½ cup
per load. 

**A few things to note about the soap**

~The finished soap will not be a solid gel.  It will be more of a
watery gel that has been accurately described as an "egg noodle soup"
look.

~The soap is a low sudsing soap.  So if you don’t see suds, that is
ok.  Suds are not what does the cleaning, it is the ingredients in the
soap.

~If you have an old liquid laundry soap bottle, it is easy to put your home
made soap in it to take advantage of what is usually an easy dispenser.

~Because this recipe includes far less chemical than other laundry soaps,
ie, cleaners, dyes, fragrance, you will find it to be great for
allergies, and I feel better about it not being carcinogenic. 

{The cost of making this recipe of laundry soap was .71 cents for 2
gallons! With this 2 gallon size recipe you will have enough to do 64
loads of laundry.  That translates to about .01 cent a load. (and then
plenty of ingredients left over for MORE 2 gal. recipes)}
